I'm not dead! (gasp)
Yep. Gonna be posting once again. Can't give up on the quest lol.
Just gotta figure out where I left off.. which might be a problem.

Lykke Li
Santogold

Okay, back to business.
Alphabetical is too much of a pain so now I'm doing whoever I feel like doing lol.
Santogold aka Santi White formally of the band The Stiffed. I know my stuff (proud =))
Anywhoo.. check her out if somehow you missed her all of '08. Hoping for a new album that can stack up to her previous.

30 Seconds to Mars
40 Cal
Can't find a good enough picture.. so.. I'll just reserve this post until I can find a decent picture.
40 Cal is a rapper from Harlem, NY.. been known to roll with the Dipset conglomerate.
and I think he got hit by a shovel by Loon (the P.Diddy loon).

3rd Bass
3rd Bass...Guess you can tell with the flat top this is some older stuff.
I know there were 3 people in this group otherwise 3rd Bass wouldn't seem like the right name for a solo artist.. But however the most 'popular' person in this group in MC Serch who you might know now because of the infamous White Rapper Show & the female version... whatever that show was called. Only song worth listening to is The Gas Face featuring Zev Love X aka MF DOOM. Although I'm not saying this group is bad.
2Pac

Continuing with the alphabetical order, this is the late Tupac or 2Pac or.. whatever you want to call him. Considered one of the rappers ever (which I have to disagree with). Although I do respect him and what he's done with his career and still being able to release numerous albums after his death I just won't put him in the top 5.
Anyways R.I.P. 'Pac.
112

Okay. Here's what you need.
Plan of Success:
Cupid. |Get the chick of interest.. interested and over to your crib.
Peaches & Cream. |Letting her know what the plans are.
U Already Know. |Favorite position is from the... back door.
Uhh.. yeah. Maybe not the best song selection to seduce a woman.
But really other than Slim, I have no idea the names of the other fools in this group.
+44

I really don't know why I have this album.
Once again I really don't know much about this band.. other than the castaways of blink-182 are in this band. Travis Barker and Mark Hoppus. Although Travis has my approval.. he's a cool dude and nice on the drums.
43+1 = 44..
and so does 45-1.
I'm smart.
Next: R&B crooners (lol) 112
!!!

Trying to go in alphabetical order now..
Anyways here's an interesting band I barely know anything about and has a name that you really can't pronounce?
I also didn't realize there were that many people in the band.
*goes to last.fm to muster up some kind of info*
*copy + paste*
!!! (pronounced by repeating thrice any monosyllabic sound. Chk Chk Chk is the most common pronunciation, but they could just as easily be called Bam Bam Bam, Uh Uh Uh, Pew Pew Pew, etc.) is an American dance-punk band from Sacramento, California that formed in Autumn 1996 from the former band members of The Yah Mos, Black Liquorice and popesmashers.

Well there we have it. We both learned something.
N.E.R.D.
Omar Rodriguez-Lopez
Good ol' O-Rod of Mars Volta fame. If your not up on him he has a nice collection of solo albums that are more 'stoner rock' or 'psychedelic rock' or.... just good music. My favorite would have to be 'Se Dice Bisonte, No Bùfalo' which translates to something about bisons and buffaloes (I think >_>) Rapid Fire Tollbooth being the highlight track on that particular album. Although a more hard rock version of the song (Goliath) was on The Mars' newest album. So yeah. Go check him out.Moving on...
(As you see I have a pretty eclectic library of artists and I'm just doing this to hopefully show some progress in my design skills and I think it'll be cool when I finally get done.. Who knows when)
Wale

One of my favorite(r) artists of 08. Up and coming hip hop'r Wale (not 'Whale' but 'Wah-Laaae'). If you don't have the mixtape, "The Mixtape About Nothing", then I dunno what to say. Other than go get it!
Um, if we wanna get techincal and talk about art here.. lets see. I added some brushes, color. smudge. uh. distort. and stuff.
Yeah. But definately Wale gets my approval. (music wise)
Moving on...
DFA'79
What can I say about these guys..they own? =)
I'm sorry to say but I truly never heard about them until earlier last year ('08) and now they are definately one of my favorite bands. Too bad they broke up and now each are traveling separate paths. Sebastien Grangier has Sebastien Grangier & the Mountains (solo.. not a band although its sounds like it could be one) and Jesse F. Keeler has teamed up with Al-P to form the duo MSTRKRFT. I can always dream that they'll reunite but who knows.
Moving on...

Intro
Okay.
Welcome. I've decided to try something that will probably take a while to complete but since I get bored often I thought I'd give it a shot.
The task?
Create some sort of art involving an artist from my music library. A-Z (not gonna be in order.. for now at least lol) Mind you I have over 150 gigs of music of all sorts of genres but I'm pretty dedicated to this project.
Why?
The love of music. I mean if you don't like music.. something's wrong. As an espiring graphic designer I get a lot of inspiration from music that I like to incorporate into my art.
Also if you see some art you like and want to know how I did it or just have a random question feel free to leave a comment or email me. I'll try to get back asap.
